About

Sebastian Geithner, born in 1982, is a germany based photographer. As a child he was taking snapshots of his family and pets. Occasionally he felt something fascinating coming from these pictures. So he kept taking photographs. Later, on a trip through France he took pictures that changed his visual perception and thinking about photography. But it was until he discovered books from greats like Michael Kenna, Bill Brandt and Josef Sudek which inspired him to get something of this beauty in his own images. Now he is constantly trying to capture the beauty around him.

Through strong compositions and the reduction to black and white he hopes to reveal a different view to the beholder. His images are about landscapes, architecture and abstraction and try to convey a mood of silence and peace.
